Provider Verification Methodology
This methodology exists so provider content can be audited. It separates facts that can be verified from state records from claims that must be confirmed directly with a community.
Verification Standard
| Field | Primary verification source | Rule |
|---|---|---|
| Facility identity | FloridaHealthFinder | Name, city and facility type must match the state profile. |
| License status | FloridaHealthFinder / AHCA | Record the status visible on the verification date. |
| Inspections / deficiencies | FloridaHealthFinder profile | Link to available state inspection details rather than rewriting allegations. |
| Complaints / sanctions | FloridaHealthFinder comparison data | Report only what the state tool displays and date the observation. |
| Services / memory care | State profile + facility confirmation | Do not infer a service from marketing language alone. |
| Price / availability | Facility confirmation | Treat as time-sensitive; date every quoted figure. |
Freshness Rules
Licensing and inspection information can change. Every provider profile should show a “last verified” date, and time-sensitive fields such as pricing or availability should be refreshed more frequently than stable identity information.
No Pay-to-Rank Rule
Commercial relationships should never silently determine the order of a regulatory comparison. Sponsored placement, if ever used, must be visibly labeled and separated from the verification methodology.
